Vision Statement

All believers are fountains of God's grace, overflowing in our worship to God, our service to one another, and our compassion for the world (John 4:13-14; 7:3).

Overflowing upward in our worship to God.

  • We will seek to exalt Christ through systematic preaching and teaching of the scripture (2 Timothy 3:16; Hebrews 1:3). The word of God is sufficient for all ministry including preaching, teaching, and counseling. All teaching and decisions emanate from this source and it is authoritative and relevant.
  • We wish to provide an atmosphere in which each believer can respond to God with his whole being (Matthew 22:36-38).
  • We will model principles of prayer and praise during worship.
  • We will seek to foster spiritual disciplines in private worship.
  • We will provide opportunity to respond to God in singing relevant music.
  • We will foster the use of the gift of encouragement through special music testimonies and creative drama.

Overflowing inward in our service to one another.

  • We seek to make disciples as we live our lives, introducing people to Christ and teaching them his principles.
  • We see the corporate church as the place to worship and glorify God (1 Corinthians 10:31; Hebrews 13:15).
  • The church gathered provides teaching (Ephesians 4:12-16), fellowship, the ordinances, and prayer (Acts 2:42). The church scattered acts as salt and light to the world (Matthew 5:13-16; 28:19-20; Titus 2:11-15).
  • We will provide various groups to focus on the "one another" statements of scripture.
  • We will seek to cultivate our practice of prayer through various venues of small groups.
  • We seek to teach a realistic understanding of the nature of humankind emphasizing our fallen nature and need for the Holy Spirit to please God. Mankind was created to glorify God, but fell (Romans 3:23). He is therefore totally depraved (Romans 3:10-18) and in need of salvation (Ephesians 2:8-9). Once salvation occurs, the saved sinner experiences progressive sanctification (Colossians 2:6, 7).
  • We are committed to the principle of multiplication by training and delegating ministry to others who are faithful through accountable apprenticeship.
  • We will challenge each other to seek a "Timothy" in whom we can pass on our faith.
  • We will offer nurturing/equipping ministries at multiple commitment levels to develop sequential growth for disciples.

Overflowing outward in our compassion for the world.

  • Evangelism is the starting point and indispensable catalyst to all disciple making. As we present the gospel and people respond they are baptized as a symbol of their faith.
  • We will seek to have concerts of prayer regarding our ability to reach others and for special church wide efforts.
  • We will provide specific training to reach our neighbors and family with the gospel of Christ.
  • We will encourage those who have the gift of evangelism to train the rest of the church.
  • We will provide community outreach events that attract those who do not know Christ.
  • We will seek to meet the physical needs of the poor and needy within our community through the Ministries of Mercies.
  • We will seek to raise up families and individuals to minister in overseas contexts.
