December letter from German Millan 2008 Mary's Dream I had a dream and I don't understand it, but I think it is concerning the birth of our child. The people had been preparing for six month; decorating their houses, buying new clothes, going shopping and acquiring beautiful gifts. It was a bit strange that the gifts were not for our son; they rap them in flashy paper and attach bows to them. And, all the gifts are put under a tree. Yes, a tree, Joseph, in their houses; these people decorated the trees and branches with ornaments. On top of the tree, what I thought, was a beautiful angel. Then, I saw a table well set with delicious plates and lots of wine. Everything looked exquisite and everyone was happy but we were not invited. Everyone was happy, laughing and emotional for the gifts given, but, Joseph, no gifts were for our son. This gave me the impression that nobody knows our son because his name was not mentioned. Everyone looked so beautiful and the people were happy but I felt like crying because our son was ignored by all who were celebrating. How sad for our son, Jesus, who was not desired on his own birithday. Esteemed brothers, our most fervent desire on this day is that your life and hopes are filled with joy in remembering the reason for Christmas by acknowledging the presence of our Lord Jesus Christ in our hearts. Eph. 2: 5-7 (With much appreciation) Brothers. Thank you very much for your prayers, listen to the Lord. During our conference that Awa was performed on days 9 to April 12, we care, provision and faithfulness of the Lord. There was an attendance of 28 adults, 9 children under 3 years and 21 children older than 3 years. They came from different communities, 19 people in Rio Verde, San Francisco 5, 10, Palmyra, 7 of Ceiba and 1 Ibarra. This year was very special to see the change that God is working in the lives of believers, we see a big change in behavior, we noticed an increased interest in talks and in each of the activities undertaken. The last day was a lot of thanks and encouragement to hear how the Word of God had impacted them, and hear them say in their own words the changes to be implemented at home, we heard this really worth it. We want to give glory to God for all he is doing in the Awa people and I personally thank the Lord for all my team, for the love, effort and dedication towards this ethnic group for Christ. And especially I want to express my thanks on behalf of the team Awa each of you who are part of our army of prayer. Blessings. 1Co.15: 58. Germán Millán. Lita, 27 June 2009. "May God our Father and the Lord Jesus grant them grace and peace." Thank God we had a good time with the group of American and German brothers who have been working with the construction of the chapel and the medical caravan. Thank God the doctors were in Rio Verde serving more than 364 Indians, for 23 and June 24. During that time Americans were 5 brothers in Lita helping to build the chapel. Our brothers in the group Impact of Germany were also helping during this past week. On Friday 25, the group was in medical Lita, with the general medical service, nursing, pediatrics and ophthalmology. Benefiting more than 70 people, including adults and children, most of those who attended were the group that the Lord is raising up in Lita. It was an excellent witness for them, see the love and service of these brothers, and a very good opportunity to teach them that it is God who causes such as wanting to do for their goodwill. And also be able to challenge to serve, God wants to use us each of us, so we hadado gifts and talents for the edification of his church. Thank you very much to everyone for their valuable assistance in our ministry, thank you for your prayers. We know that without their support would not be possible to continue the work that the Lord has entrusted us We appreciate your prayers for our upcoming youth camps that take place in late July and early August. A big hug. Germán Millán. April 2010 -----------English translation--------- LITA, April 20, 2010. Dear brothers. Thank you for your prayers for our family and Ministry. About two weeks ago, my wife Luz Marina began feeling in her abdomen a large lump. After a visit with her doctor, he recommended an abdominal ultrasound to rule out any problem due to her history of kidney cancer. Because of the high costs of the exam here in Ecuador, we got an appointment in Ipiales next Tuesday April 27th. Thank you for praying for her and that it will not be anything serious. Please be in prayer also for my mom, for several years she has been suffering much in her throat. She is currently undergoing multiple tests to rule out cancer. I am thinking to travel to visit her and if possible be with my family in Tuluá for a week. Thank you for your prayers and the Lords provision for everything I need to travel. Also I would use this trip for me to get some laboratory tests pending for my control for diabetes with an endocrinologist. I do have the possibility of an appointment with a specialist in Quito, so if that happens I will not have to travel to Pasto. Thank you very much for your love and prayers. Blessings, Germán Millán. |
