Brig & Chris Judy (NAIM) are working alongside the believers (Plains Cree) of Jacob Bear Community Church. We average between 15-40 people on Sundays and enjoyed as many as 60 out at our Christmas services. We are involved in outreach by way of Bible Studies (in the church and in homes), attending public events (sporting, school, cultural), hospital visitation, home visits (theirs and ours) and getting involved in the First Nations communities of Kahkewistahaw, Ochapowace, Cowessess, and Sakimay in as many creative ways as possible. Our first winter has been extremely cold and long but this is Saskatchewan! We love being back.

Thank you all for your tremendous help...encouragement...and support. You guys are fantastic.

March 21 2011

I am so sorry to not have responded to your past emails.
You guys have been terrific.
We feel loved and are buoyed by your prayers.
The Korean students from Boston are here and they hit the ground running.
In the midst of a 3-4 day snowstorm (forecast 16+ inches), all the billets showed up at Jacob Bear to take their respective students to their homes (amazing!).
Bill, Dickie and I had a phenomenal time @ the PK event.
Bill was touched by Bill Ferrell (author from San Diego) who shares his name and birthday!
We all came home pumped and ready to lay it all on the line for Jesus (awesome stuff for a little rural church in SK).
The next day, Bill & Naomi came to the sunday service upset. First time @ Jacob Bear since Nash's death.
After the service, we prayed and talked, and hugged and prayed and than went down to join the crowd for lunch.
A 19 year old dragged me back upstairs and told me about his 5 days of
sobriety...2 days of reading the Bible, and now wanting a Bible of his own! We prayed, hugged, talked and talked and rejoiced at his willing to walk a path of discovery toward Jesus Christ. This soon to be dad wants to get it right before his son is born.
In the midst of all this the Koreans were flying out the door with different folks, I tried to grab a bowl of soup and the rest of the afternoon was spent running around the Rez rounding up items, making sure arrangements were set up for the Boston/Korean Church team.
Something exciting is happening here!
Please keep up the most important work of all, by keeping us all in your prayers.

1. Naomi & Bill to be able to sleep at night (no terrors, fears,
temptations) to drag them away from God's purposes for them.
2. Sonny to read the Bible, apply it to his life by coming to faith.
3. For our ongoing Bible studies...
4. For the Boston/Korean team: safety, encouragement in their outreach, ministry advancements.
5. For our men's group slated to begin on Wednesday night...might be calling it "Broken Arrow"...just sounds cool.
6. For traveling mercies in the midst of our biggest storm of the year...
Thanks!!
